King tut’less King Tut exhibit…

This is what Aaron spent a lot of time doing in Dallas.. I was super jealous…

Amazing how pulled together you can pretend to look at 5 o’clock in the morning!!!
Basically these are just for bump pictures!

DAY TWO:

Aaron’s friend D A L L A S (okay..so I have no idea why.. but every time I see his name the letters are spaced out..so I guess that’s the way you do it!! but also.. his real name is Matt. But we’ve never called him anything other than Dallas!!) So D A L L A S came to pick us up at the hotel. We were sooo glad to see him and have him show us around.. We headed down town….

And went to the Dallas Art Museum. My boss really wanted us to go to the King Tut exhibit. Apparently it only goes to 5 cities every year. We were game….
We were sooooo bummed to find out we couldn’t take any pictures inside the exhibit. It was really cool. And definitely a once in a life time experience. ALTHOUGH.. can you believer there was NO King Tut???? Seriously… big let down…

So you’ll have to settle with Gift Shop pictures!!

Me and baby… This is Aaron and Dallas! VERY funny story..
See that mummy behind them?? it was actually facing the other direction in front of a glass window with it’s smaller buddy. The boys tried to stand next to it and have their picture taken through the window. The glare was too harsh so they couldn’t. I suggested they turn the mummies around. Dallas grabbed the first one, it was just styrofoam. When he went to turn the second one… this happened… The top of the mummy came off! And we couldn’t get it back on.. sooo.. well. we just walked away!!
Do you like?????????????? The boys were WAY too cool to wear funny hats…
Dallas opened this thing as a lady walked by.. Someone asked him what was in it and he said spikes!! I guess there really wasn’t.. but we all got a kick out of it..
Meanwhile.. back at the hotel.. (after driving alllllllllllllllll over Dallas looking for a freakin’ cold stone and not finding one, so deciding to just to go chill at the hotel…)

I had been eyeing these chairs for two days and really wanted a picture in them… too bad they didn’t look better… or I guess too bad I look like a whale!!!! :)

But the boys look cute!!
Well.. That is actually all of my Dallas pictures…. Sorry.. I guess there wasn’t really much time for pictures..

I’m very glad we went.. and even more glad that Aaron was able to come with me. I would have been miserable there alone..

Thanks for coming babe!! And thanks for showing us a good times Fieldsy!! :o) It was nice to get to know you better.. See you when you come out for some “real” mountain biking!!!!!

The last 4 week appointment…

Today was my last “every 4 weeks” doctors appointment. It went well. Nothing too exciting. I can’t believe how soon it’s all going to be over. Only 2 “2 weeks” appointments.. then I’m down to once a week until he decides to show up. (Me and him have been having lots of talks about this lately.. I think he gets the point…)

I gained 8 lbs since the last appointment 4 weeks ago… oopps!!

I have A LOT of contractions these days.. she said just to make sure they aren’t regular. Even if they don’t hurt, if they come constantly every 10 minutes.. that’s still a problem. I think we’re okay!

Only 4 weeks until we get to have another ultrasound.. I can’t wait to see him again and see how much he’s changed….

On another note.. I finally found my doula. I’m so excited to be working with her..

And by some miracle I was able to make it into the best birthing classes in the state!!! The lady that teaches them is completely booked until MARCH 2009. I decided to be brave and just leave a message to see if there was anyway she could let me in to a class. That same day she had someone drop out do to placenta previa so there was a spot!!!!!! I was so excited I almost didn’t here the part about the first class being when we were in Dallas!!!! Luckily she was okay with it and we will make up the first class the week after we take our second class. This class is 5 weeks long for 4 hours a night… I guess there is a lot to learn! I am sooooo excited..

I’m really glad everything is still going so good… Just keep on growing little guy….

Day 1 at the Hilton Anatole…

We were up at 3am to get to the airport for our flight.. I was not a very happy girl (to say the least..) So we skipped the Kodak moments until we actually got to Dallas.

Stepping off the plane was the WORST experience ever. It immediately took my breath away. There was no oxygen in the air. It was overcast and kinda yucky. We arrived at the hotel and I headed off to my meetings while Aaron got acquainted with the hotel room.

After all our meetings and lunch we headed off to explore the hotel… It was raining quite a bit by now. We changed our clothes, put on our hoodies and headed out. Boy..were we surprised when we stepped out side and it was 85 degrees! We were going to go back and change, but just sucked it up.

This hotel.. WOW! It had a lot of different buildings.. 5 restaurants.. and was on 45 acres!

It was super huge.. We didn’t see everything after spending 3 days there.

Some highlights…..

This is the inside. We hung out a lot here. The thing in the middle is like a little cafe. This was the “atrium” wing of the hotel. There were also two towers…

This is the outside.. and the view of one of the towers. The pond.. and part of the sculpture garden..

This is Aaron.. chillin’ by the shops.. Reading about the King Tut exhibit that we were thinking about going to…

Oh and this is baby!! Chillin’ next to daddy!

There were these two giant elephants.. seemed like a photo op to me!!! (Behind us is the ballroom where we ate our “fancy” meals.. and the little area where we had our “cocktail” parties)

Someone offered to take a picture of both of us… love when people do that..

My boss was SUPER excited about it.. It was pretty darn cool. It’s a chunk (or section) of the Berlin wall with original graffiti…

Oh and there is me and baby with the Berlin wall.. (These are all pictures for future use when 15 years from now he complains that we never take him anywhere cool!!! “Oh yea buddy.. How many of your friends have stood in front of the Berlin wall??? You have!!!”)

We had a big ‘ol fancy lunch that day with the most amazing peanut butter pie. (I ate 2 pieces!!!)
I wanted soooo badly to take pictures of the food.. but I had a feeling the boss would have thought it was a littttle weird!
We also had an amazing dinner… they really went alll out!!!! Oh and the cranberry juice was delicious at the cocktail party! :)
That’s all for tonight……

Still Alive.. Still recuperating…

Still alive.. Made it back safe and sound.

I have lots to post about, but every time I get the energy.. It takes me too long to catch up on my reading so I’m too tired to actually write my own, plus the laptop battery normally dies on me. (Yes.. I realize those can be plugged in.. but again.. tired and lazy!)

Night time usually means exhaustion and tons of contractions.. but I do have plans tonight to get some sort of post together!!!

So.. Stay tuned!

less water more oxygen…

I have some pictures that hopefully I’ll get around to posting tonight..

But I just have to say one thing..

People that live in Texas are sub-human..

I realize I am pregnant and complain a litttttle more than normal…

But seriously.. there is NOOO oxygen in the air in Texas.`It’s pure water…. which is doing wonders for my naturally curly hair that takes an hour to straighten….

Thank you humidity.. You can find me INDOORS….
